Looking for a career where you can make a difference in someone elses life Where opportunities abound to advance your future both personally and professionally The Bristal Assisted Living is the place for you Youll thrive in a premier senior care organization that values you as an individual not just your experience and skillsets but your unique talents and energy Youll enrich the community in which you work and that community will enrich you We call what we do at The Bristal hospitality with a higher purpose We know youll make an impactful difference Because the difference is you Come join us We are seeking a compassionate and talented ArtMusic Therapist to provide interactive art therapy to residents with Alzheimers disease and dementia in our dedicated Reflections Memory Care Neighborhood You must have the ability to stimulate and engage our residents using music drawing painting and other disciplines of art and present these tools in ways that are fun and therapeutically effective We hold our residents in the highest regard especially those facing difficult memory challenges so we expect you to bring a genuinely tender and devoted touch to your work We look for consummate professionals with a true desire a calling even to impact their lives in positive ways Prior experience working in a senior population or with those with Alzheimers disease and dementia is desired Your role is essential to the care of residents who choose to call The Bristal home The loving attention you bring to the art and music therapy services you provide is fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our memory care residents every day Casual schedule includes one weekend day shift per week Sun-Mon 930am-530pm The ideal candidate will have the following skillsqualifications Experience in ArtMusic Therapy Background in memory care working with those with Alzheimers disease and dementia Exceptional musicalartistic abilities creativity imagination and enthusiasm Maintaining a mature patient calm and respectful demeanor at all times is a must Ability to create a trusting open kindhearted atmosphere that encourages learning and participation A strong empathy with and commitment to helping improve the lives of seniors each day Must have or be willing to get a COVID-19 vaccine subject to legal accommodations
