Music Therapist Caseload Transition Opportunity | Northern Colorado Overtones Music Therapy | Seeking One or Two MT-BCs | Anticipated Transition: January–April 2027 Overtones Music Therapy is seeking one or two Board-Certified Music Therapists (MT-BCs) interested in taking over an established community-based music therapy caseload in Northern Colorado. Built around the belief that when the music starts, the healing begins, Overtones Music Therapy has developed meaningful relationships with clients, families, and community partners throughout the region. As I prepare to move out of the area, I am looking for the right therapist—or therapists—to continue this work with care, creativity, and respect. This is an opportunity to step into an established caseload with existing client and community relationships rather than building a caseload from the ground up. Caseload
Overview Approximately 54 sessions per month across the current caseload. Opportunity for one therapist to assume the full caseload or for two therapists to share the workload. Geographic divisions and scheduling arrangements are flexible and can be discussed based on therapist availability and preferences. Current geographic distribution: Greeley / Eaton: Approximately 41 sessions per month Fort Collins / Loveland / Windsor: Approximately 13 sessions per month Client Population & Settings The caseload primarily serves older adults in assisted living, memory care, independent living, and other residential and community-based settings. There are also a few day-program groups serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Compensation & Arrangement This is an independent contractor/subcontractor opportunity with established per-session compensation based on existing client rates. A therapist assuming the full current caseload could expect approximately $3,300 per month in gross session compensation, before taxes, mileage, and other individual business expenses. Compensation for a partial caseload will vary based on the number and type of sessions assumed. There may also be opportunities to take on additional caseload as new locations become available. Transition Timeline I anticipate transitioning out of Northern Colorado sometime between January and April 2027, depending on housing and transition logistics. I am beginning the search now to allow time for thoughtful planning, coordination, and a smooth transition for clients, therapists, and community partners. Interested? This opportunity may be a great fit for an MT-BC who enjoys working with older adults, community-based populations, and/or adults with IDD and is interested in stepping into an established caseload. For client privacy and confidentiality, specific client and facility names are not included in this public posting. Additional information regarding locations, scheduling, client needs, transition logistics, and compensation can be discussed directly with interested candidates.
