Contract Music Therapist (MT-BC)

Compelling Therapy Services is seeking Board Certified Music Therapists to provide one on one therapy services to clients with developmental disabilities in Houston and surrounding areas. This opportunity can be part time with potential to lead to full time. As an independent contract therapist, you have the opportunity to manage your own schedule! You also have the opportunity to do telehealth and work from home for those clients who meet telehealth criteria.

Qualifications:

• MUST be board certified and have MT-BC certification
• Must have malpractice / liability insurance or be willing to obtain insurance
• Must have current CPR through American Heart Association or be willing to obtain CPR certification
• Part time positions are available, which may lead to full time. 
• Music Therapist will plan, organize and implement 1:1 therapy sessions with each client that has cognitive and/or other developmental disabilities.
• Music Therapist will set measurable goals for each client and monitor progress by documenting weekly via progress notes. Therapist will also submit quarterly and annual (2 page) reports for each client to document progress related to goals established.
• Music Therapists currently have the opportunity to do telehealth therapy sessions from their home, according to state guidelines.
• The Music Therapist may also be responsible for completing initial assessments for designated clients to determine appropriate interventions and treatment needs.
