Music Therapist Location: Austin, Texas Employment Type: Full Time / Contract The Music Therapist provides school-based educational or related services . This role collaborates with administrators, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement while ensuring compliance with district, state, and federal regulations. Duties and Responsibilities Provide therapeutic music interventions. Assess student needs and develop treatment goals. Support communication, motor, cognitive, and social development. Collaborate with educators and therapists. Participate in IEP meetings as appropriate. Maintain documentation. Monitor student progress. Ensure a safe therapeutic environment. Comply with district policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Certifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy with MT-BC credential preferred. Preferred Qualifications Pediatric or school-based experience. Board Certification (MT-BC). Strong interpersonal skills.
