Compensation - $55.00–$57.00 per hour - Flexible scheduling - Full-Time, Part-Time, and Contract opportunities available About the Role As a Music Therapist with New Wave Wellness, you'll provide individualized, client-centered therapy services in community settings. You'll assess each client's unique needs, develop treatment plans, implement therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams to support meaningful progress. Our clients include individuals with developmental disabilities, veterans, and others who benefit from creative, evidence-based therapeutic services. Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive client assessments. - Develop individualized treatment plans within 45 days of initial client contact. - Provide engaging, evidence-based music therapy sessions. - Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. - Collaborate with families, caregivers, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams. - Provide training and education to staff and family members when appropriate. - Attend client meetings as scheduled. - Participate in one monthly virtual company meeting. - Advocate for client independence and quality of life. - Supervise interns when applicable. QualificationsRequired - Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or Therapeutic Music. - Current Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) credential. - Ability to provide official transcripts and diploma. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Additional Requirements - Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, vehicle registration, and current auto insurance. - Ability to pass required background checks. - Professional liability insurance (or ability to obtain). - CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). - Negative TB test (or willingness to obtain). - Willingness to travel to client locations throughout your assigned service area. - Ability to transport clients when appropriate.
