Music Therapist - Independent Contractor (Elk River/Central Townships)

Alliance Music Therapy is seeking a Music Therapist – Independent Contractor to join our exceptional team. The position involves working with individuals of all ages in-person at our Elk River mutual meeting site, within clients' homes, and at group homes/skilled nursing homes. *Contractors only, this is not an employee position. Position Details

• Start date: Flexible, September/October preferred
• Part time client contact hours available; can grow to a fuller caseload if interested
• Location/s: In-person delivery of service within client homes/facilities in the Elk River/Central MN area and surrounding townships
• Flexible scheduling throughout the day based on therapist preferences and client availability
• Client caseload involves working with children, teens, young adults to older adults with neurodevelopmental or genetic disorders, behavioral or mental health conditions, and medical diagnoses
• Since this is a contract position, therapist/s are responsible for their clinical knowledge and skillset, their own instruments/equipment/supplies, continuing education training, mileage, etc. Excellent organization and interpersonal skills are ideal for this position. Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy
• Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential
• Possesses a car and is enthusiastic to meet clients in their homes and at facilities
• Independent therapist who loves client-family work but doesn't want to deal with marketing, advertising, or running the behind the scenes tasks of a private practice Preferred (but not required):
• Minimum 1-2 years experience working with the above individuals
• Minimum 1-2 years experience working in a private practice setting
