Qualifications
- Meet the educational requirements and hold the national Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) credential from the Certification Board for Music Therapists
- May also be BS/BA working towards credential
- Hold the WI Music Therapist – Registered (WMTR) credential
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team 35 Hours / Week
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working at our Walker’s Point, Milwaukee Studio with CCS referrals and at Milwaukee Public Schools Success Center w/ therapeutic team
- Assess emotional and behavioral needs for students ages 8-18
- Plan and implement individual and group music therapy services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team through MPS, BLOOM art therapists, and various SC program partners to evaluate treatment progress
- Communicate with student's home school staff and caregivers
- Attend and/or facilitate treatment progress meetings
Base salary plus percentage based on both client caseload and level of education
